Exhibition Information

Yangpyeong Museum of Art 2020 outdoor installation art project "Media waltz" will be held at Yangpyeong County Museum of Art's outdoor lawn plaza for an hour from 7 p.m. on the 23rd. The exhibition is a media project held to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the opening of the Yangpyeong County Museum of Art, and 11 of the country's top media artists have been invited. It presents a new vision of exhibition culture by projecting a video of a work that combines visual and sound beyond the imagination of artists on the outer wall of the museum.

The exhibition includes Yangpyeong media Artists who combine science and art in eco-friendly nature and realize the future exhibition culture and Yangpyeong 11 people have been at home and abroad a variety of creative media art exhibition arranged by the creative expression

These works were mixed in one space without distinction and created a collaboration, creating a special difference between them. Among the exhibition works, messages from various times such as architecture and media encounters, human-supernatural relationships, facial expressions of modern people, media performance-humanism, technology <Panopticon>, and eternal light are shown through new concept media art.

First of all, Kim Hyungki is a combination of two-sided forms, and applies the principle of natural formation of Metisage to the work, causing complexity of emotions and emotions. The generation of these images shows various appearances from time to time. Cho Sung-hyun is an electronic bandmaster and media artist known as "Performance of the Sun." In one space, he makes a real-time work of any movement expressed by the fusion of lines and brothers and presents an optical phenomenon rhythmically. Lee visualizes based on data from language, a medium that connects local communities and analyzes delicate emotional information or subjective information of language to create new meaning. The theme of Jin Si-young's Garden of Light is peace. In the beginning, nature was destroyed by two peaceful people and humans in a beautiful paradise, and the feelings of chaos that the two feel, and the future city was built after the chaos, showing the peace that came again.

In addition, Cho shows the deformation and reinterpretation of mechanical devices, images, videos, and sounds that are dismantled and moved by video symbols on monitors. This is because modern people are immersed in the implementation of a complete digilog that satisfies human emotions by moving between digital space and analog space. This is because the most inhumane and imaginary digital technology is being used, but the artist's human nature, which tries to capture the most specific and warm human elements, creates unique characteristics of the writer. Jang Jiyeon's "Noblessse Oblige 2012" is a homage to Rodin's "Citizen of Calais". The etymology of Noblesse oblige, often referred to in the establishment of modern society, begins with the six nobles of Calais, meaning "a duty of morality to the establishment enjoyed as a higher class". In "Noblesse Oblige 2012," the citizen of Calais is told that as time goes by, the representative aristocrats who came out to die proudly hesitate to sacrifice, and turn away one or two times while looking at each other. "Noblesse Oblige 2012" gives the establishment in modern society the right interpretation and re-lighting of its meaning.

Along with this, Jeong Jeongju presents a new concept installation that combines everyday doors and light to promote communication with the audience. In particular, as we spend the year 2020, we feel paradoxical about the beauty of making meeting and breaking up with countless people into a single digital landscape, or the fear of hitters passing through the interior of the space.

In addition, Cha Hyunhee's 4th Industrial Revolution, Media Art, and Future, presents a " Panopticon" video work that connects the behavior and repetitive movements of the next-generation icon AI video media space. The artist is a satirical work comparing their appearance and hopes to a digital prisoner trapped in a circular frame due to Corona 19, creating new life energy of hope through some movements (circular or square) in the artist's video media. Through his work, Flowex presents a new Yangpyeong eco-friendly environment through the combination of art and technology and its interactions. In particular, it unfolds a panoramic message about the preciousness of things that are being forgotten while looking at the past, present, and future, and the environment that needs to protect and protect nature around us.

Han Seung-gu presents a media installation that explores problems of face and self, fantasy and substance under the theme of "Avalokitesvara", "Breath" and "Nara". All of the works are interactive installations using digital technology and communication interfaces, and they are seeking to find their true selves through questions about their existence and their relationship to society they belong to. Han Ho's Eternal Light-genesis approaches the concept of human history in the ongoing modern art. We recognize the same thing about human beings who happily enjoy human life in the environment of the earth, destroy it, but long for hope in life trees created by changes and divisions of mankind, the light of the beginning extracted from images of the creation and extinction of the universe.

As such, the purpose of the winter project, which the Yangpyeong County Museum of Art has steadily built to become a starting point for the formation and formation of media art in Yangpyeong, adds meaning. In order to develop into a continuous leap forward, it aims to evolve toward a new media era by expanding creative activities not only in Yangpyeong's future exhibition culture but also in various places in the region.

Finally, the winter project "Media waltz," which was held to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the opening of the Yangpyeong County Museum of Art, will be in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, and "Media waltz" as a festival that shows that modern people can display media in outdoor spaces.
