Exhibition Information

			Every spring, when I see a cherry tree in bloom, I think of my friend.
 
In the spring of 2021, the weather at the military base, which was particularly cold, became warm and flowers bloomed in full bloom.
 
While waiting for my classmates outside the military cafeteria, I saw cherry blossom petals falling easily in the spring breeze from afar. At that time, a friend who lived a short life but was warm to many people suddenly appeared vividly in my eyes.
 
It was as if my friend, smiling among the falling cherry blossom petals, was looking at me and telling me that it was time to let him go and that just thinking about him sometimes was enough.
 
My mourning had been so long and I was sorry that I couldn't let my friend go easily.
 
While making <I'm Sorry My Lament Is So Long>, I wanted to express the image of a friend saying goodbye under a cherry tree on a spring day. It's hard to remember the face now, but I expressed my friend's bright energy and witty character with green thread, and my feelings of deciding to let my friend go but feeling a little sad were expressed with blue thread.
 
Now I have accepted my friend's death and I am living my life diligently. After experiencing many things in this life, I want to meet my friends and talk about many things when I pass away. I want to tell you that I am grateful for being such a wonderful person in my life.
 
I hope that those of you who come to my exhibition through this cold winter will think of people who have already passed away and think of their warm smiles.
