I stand facing the endless sea. It is a time of comfort for me. The sea that quietly guards its place is calm and still, so it seems like it listens to me even without missing a single word. If we stand before OH Byung Wook’s works, it seems like we are in front of the ‘sea’. The sea he shows us is ideal and romantic, from the three-dimensional texture of its waves to the infinite space. Although it does not exist in the real world, the vast expanse of the seascape always embraces us calmly. His sea approaches in a new form. OH’s sea that hugged us waving in silence presents various colors now. The sea, dressed in the bold color of the sky, does not speak anything, but its appearance implies audacity. The sea expressed in this way seems to be trying to change, and it is still pure and warm as well. No matter what hardship comes, you will be able to overcome it in a breeze if you keep your eyes on the sea. From now on, we will be able to look at the sea within us again with a detached attitude and a hopeful gaze. (Source = Artside Gallery)
