Exhibition Information
Gana Art Hannam is pleased to present a solo exhibition of Yoon Kwang-cho who creates inventive ceramic pieces that reflect aspects of nature based on the Korean buncheong techniques. After studying ceramics at Hongik University, Seoul, Yoon has reinterpreted the traditional ceramics and embraced originality that exploits the dynamic, expressive potential of buncheong. As a leading voice in Korean contemporary ceramics, Yoon is an internationally acclaimed artist and his works were collected by numerous renowned museums including Korea National Museum of Contemporary Art, Gwacheon, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, The National Museum of Natural History, Washington D.C., San Fransico Asian Art Museum, San Francisco, British Museum, London, National Museum Victoria, Australia, and Royal Museum of Mariemon, Belgium. This exhibition is on view through May 29 with Yoon Kwang-cho’s comprehensive monograph published by Gana Foundation of Art and Culture during the exhibition period. (Source = gana art)
